Like I said.......It's On!!!!!
We will get the teams together. Find out when is a good time, then like the old Nike commercials......Just do it.
We will see how 4 man teams work out. Set brackets, draw straws for the match ups, then start bowling. I have thrown 3 700's before with a high of 720 or 30 something. My high game is 279...3 X's. I have won 2 championships where I was the MVB...bowling a 650 & 662 those series. But I have also (just last season) bombed in a title game throwing 30 & 5 pins under my avg as the team I was on lost. I don't have all those wordings down like Pratt. I'm like Cruise in "Days of Thunder" he didn't know all the lingo, but he could drive the dang car. I can throw the ball. I only have 1 ball. I don't have no fancy elbow pads, or wrist bands, gloves. I have a 5 step approach with the natural lefty hook! We will have to stop by the place to see when would be the best time for us to do our thing. I'm thinking early Sat, or Sun morning???? Sunday might be better, I'm sure I will be out of the tourney by then! Nat'l What....he can bowl too!!!!!!!!!! Yup.

To make it fair for the out of towners
All teams should use house balls and shoes. This way you will not have one team saying if we had our own equipment. The outcome would have been different.

The use of house balls only can be a great equalizer. Anyone with game should be down for that. But c'mon man... those house shoes suck! That is, it sucks for YOU, not me. I have no feeling in either of my feet so I could strap on some wooden clogs made by the Dutch and it wouldn't matter. I just wouldn't wish rental shoes on anyone.
IF y'all are serious about trying to do this, make sure you place your calls well in advance. It is Winter league season ya know. No guarantees that you can even secure a lane for open bowling, much less a pair or two. Not sure how populated the local centers are there. I can tell you here, there are 4 houses all w/in 15 minutes of each other and they are always full/booked during Winter season. Even Sunday mornings can be a tough gig to get some lane time in. Bowling or not and bowling aside, I'll see y'all there. I'll be toting a baseball bat, a brick and a feather. Beat to a pulp, smashed into the ground or tickled to death, pick your poison. -Mike Pratt |

Dearell, lomax can't bowl!!!!!
It's almost here. Make sure you bring your equipment. Bring your ball as a carry on if you are flying!
I have an extra ball for any lefties. I'm going to take Pratt's suggestion and call the house this weekend to make sure we can get some lanes that weekend. The Philly A-team is: The F.O.T.H. Glenn Phoenix Cliff Gibbs Ernie Grice We also have a B-team!!! Nat'l

hey, I thought we was going with "raw" bowling..... but if you want us to bring the "balls from home" .......
anyway, last time I picked up one of them ..... 200+ again..... so beware I may be rusty, but I can still wing it..... |
