Default THE BRAWL AND CBSMF ALL PLAY WEEKEND SCENARIO.

COACHES,

BEFORE I THROW THIS OUT THERE, NONE OF THE GOVERNING BODIES HAVE APPROVED OR EVEN KNOW OF THIS IDEA. EVERYONE KNOWS I COME TO THE DANCE TO SEE EVERYONE, WELL, DANCE !

THIS WILL BE THEE MOST HISTORIC WEEKEND IN MF PERIOD !

HERES WHY, AND THIS IS JUST THE GAMEPLAY. THERE WILL BE A ZILLION OTHER MFCA THINGS TO DO ALSO. ENDING THE WEEKEND WITH AN NFL GAME THAT WE WILL ALL GO TO AND SIT AT TOGETHER. U.N.I.T.Y 101

HERE WE GO, we have the CBSMF AND THE BRAWL on tour together.
This is the equivalent to THE BEATLES and THE ROLLING STONES.
This is the equivalent to PRINCE and MICHAEL JACKSON
THIS is the equivalent to MICHAEL BOLTON and BARRY MANILOW (just seeing if your awake on this one)

WHAT WE HAVE ARE TWO ENTITIES OF ICONIC PROPORTIONS WITH ROCK STAR STATUS FOR BOTH. THE PROBLEM IS WE ALL CAN'T DANCE TO THE SAME SONG AT THE SAME TIME.

I know DEEP DEEP DEEP DOWN INSIDE, COACHES WOULD LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN BOTH THE BRAWL and the CBSMF HERES A SCENARIO,

WEIRDWOLF asked the community what they thought of starting a day early (thurs). There are coaches who would love to start a day early, some even thought it should be a week long. I've talked about all under one roof for years and it is happening when some said it will never.

Due to outside sources, The Brawl must kick off on friday. so, what if thee entire day thursday is all CBSMF PLAY, WITH A TEXAS SHOOTOUT SIDE TOURNEY FOR ALL WHO HAVE NOT GOTTEN A CHANCE TO GO TO ARLINGTON. (LIKE I SAID, WE WILL ALL BE IN THE HOUSE ). We break eat dinner, maybe do something else, come back and resume play throughtout the night (like you alway's do until 3 in the morn).

wake up friday morn, ALL BRAWL ALL DAY UNTIL THE CAM'S STOP ROLLING.
We have the MFCA FESTIVITIES (Whatever wolf has planned). take a nap. come back that night, THEN RESUME PLAY WITH THE CBSMF. GO TO BED

WAKE UP SAT MORNING, We resume play with THE BRAWL and cam's rolling.

I hope you see the PING PONG PLAYING scenario that will favor all. We continue this all the way up to the BILLS VS TITANS sunday night. we all fly away monday morn with the greatest MININATURE FOOTBALL memmory in the bank.

If all the governing bodies think this can work for all the coaches, all the coaches would need is to bring two sets of teams. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THIS HAPPEN BECAUSE WE ARE ALL IN THE SAME BUILDING.

LIKE I SAID, the powers that be had no idea i was putting this out there. This is just a rough DRAFT. The president (wolf) must like and approve of this "STERN-MULOUS PACKAGE'

i just wanted to know what the coaching public thought about having a chance to dance with HALLE BERRY and PAM ANDERSON at the same party

let me know

I was able to check this week, but was not able to talk to the manager as he is on vacation but I already know that Thursday is NOT available until potentially after 7:30 pm. I cannot confirm this until I visit with Tim at the Stearn Center next week.

I know many of you have expressed that you want to play in both tourneys and if there was any way to do this, we would try to set it up.

The good thing about all this is...this is just the beginning of what can be many future events even bigger and better! This is the first time for this type of event and the reality is we are still a small community of competitors. This event is not perfect as far as the amount of time available to us, but we are going to do everything we can to make it successful and to ensure that everyone has a good experience and a fun time. We have all wanted this type of event and here it is in front of us. I know many of you will have to make a choice as to which tourney you play in and that can be a difficult decision. After your first rounds, there will be many coaches out of the tourneys and ALL games played from start to finish, count in the Coaches Points Challenge so your competive juices can continue to flow as you go for the Individual and Team Awards in the CPC and the skills events.

Let's get through this first time event as planned with its schedule imperfections, sharing the fellowship and unity that it is designed around. Then next year with this experience in our back pocket we will plan as one unit working ahead with all interested parties and an expanded 4 or 5 day schedule.

Again, we had to start somewhere and if I had known at the start that we would be having these events join the Convention, we would have planned differently. The stars have aligned as they have and with everyones cooperation we can pull this off as one of the best events to have ever happened in miniature fooball.

As we move forward, I would ask that everyone keep the tenants of the MFCA in mind.
Unity, Fellowship and Integrity

Great post Prez! The only way this event can fail to be GREAT is if we forget about the MFCA goal: Unity, Fellowship, and Integrity.

Lets make this the greatest tournament of all time. Whether you play in the Brawl, the CBSMF, or the MFCA format (just playing any coaches you choose to from across the country under any ruleset you want). By the way, I want to say that if you choose to not to play the two major tournaments and just show up at the event, the MFCA format is awsome too (and more casual) as you can choose to play amoungst any one you want, any way you want- old friends or new ones, rivalry games, big boards, old boards, multi-stop or traditional, 3.2 or 4.0....just having fun.

See you all in August!
Joe

Default Listen to the Wolf!

Good points Wolfy...and add to that that MFCA officiers need to be there to help with the sleeping arrangements and setting up for the weekend...which is set for Thursday night. We would need to start Wednesday night if we were to have things going on on Thursday. Maybe next year we can have a Thursday-Monday event...this would allow more coaches to make it through the Hall of Fame and see more of the sites in Canton, as well as, tournament play. If we had to do anything over again from last year, it would have been promoting the Canton sites.

But Wolfy is right...the stars are in line. I am looking forward to this convention more and more each day. It is going to truely be a great day for the hobby.

Default GOOD POST WOLF !

WOLF GOOD POST.

I was not trying to step on any toes. It's just many coaches who are part of the CBSMF played in the last 2 seawall brawls when i was there. If they played in 2, i know they want to play in the next one. There probably sitting home wondering what to do. I was trying to figure out a scenario to alleviate that problem. I did not mention the coaches challenge because that's a given. We will all sign up for that regardless. For the coaches sitting at home quietly trying to come up with a plan of there own, i threw it out there publicly in hopes somelse could find another solution to this. THIS IS ALL ABOUT THE COACHES. They have never been faced with this scenario before.

wolf is great at these scenario's so i personally think some sort of twist will arise to make all happy. JUST CONSIDERING THE FEELINGS OF A COACH WHO JUST WAN'T TO PLAY

I think it was worth a try to ask, as if I were an experienced coach I would want to play in both. If I come and I'd love too I'll just let the "big guns" play in the tourneys and get some pick-up games in with new friends for fun and to learn...

I'll have to scratch up some funds from selling on ebay and see what i can come up with...about the only thing that can stop me is another layoff which I FEAR, or of course my wife. She is on the fence at this time and may join me as she is an advid Football fan. She of course wants to visit NY if we go anywhere to see her family...that would suck !!

Hey, what's wrong w/Bolton and Manilow...I frequent their concerts all the time

Dre, No problem with your post. I too was hoping that we could get the extra day, but it is not available. I think it would be great to play in both and I am sure that next year we can plan it so that this happens with who ever the participating tourneys are. We are learning as we go and I think it is a great start for the future. Plus, once this or the LAEFL's pilot or both gets picked up (fingers crossed) we could see a huge influx of new coaches that will change the way we do all kinds of things.

Next year could be a week long event. I just want to see both tourneys and the show and the MFCA event be successful so I will do whatever is in my power with the MFCA memberships input to make this happen.
