Default WHAT CONSTITUTES A TALENTED PLAYER ON YOUR TEAM.

COACHES,

Define what a talented player is on your team and in miniature football overall. WHAT CRITERIOR MUST THAT ONE PATICULAR PLAYER ACCOMPLISH ON THE FIELD IN YOUR EYES TO DEEM HIM AS A SUPERSTAR.

1) Is he on a playable base, or is he on a hell of a base ?

2)does he consistently perform in all games ?

3)Does his pose and weight play a part in his make up ?

4)you stick him on another base, is he the same player ? If not, then he is probably not a talented superstaR. He just found the right cleets ?

5) How many yards must he run before veering off left or right to be classified a keeper ?

5) A figure on one base may run end zone to end zone. On another base he may run 30 yards. Does his pose have anything to do with that ?

6) What figure and base combo have been your superstar ?

7) Are you shooting yourself in the foot not putting the right and most talelnted base on a player ?. There are some who may say, ok, he runs pretty decent on this base and move on to the next guy. Or do you develop the heck out of that one player until you find the most extraordinary base on earth for him.( I LIKEN THIS TO JIMMY JOHNSON FINDING PLAYERS AND BUILDING TEAMS THROUGH THE DRAFT. THEN SHAPE THAT TEAM INTO HIS IMAGE) YOU KNOW HIS MOTTO, "SOMEBODY MAKE A PLAY"

8) ****DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE A PLAY ????????

I go for one hell of a base....but time and reality can get in the way....

2)does he consistently perform in all games ?

This is definitely something I look for.

3)Does his pose and weight play a part in his make up ?

Absolutely!

4)you stick him on another base, is he the same player ? If not, then he is probably not a talented superstaR. He just found the right cleets ?

Of course not...the base and pose together make the player. Not to see that some figures might do fine on other bases.....but not always. Certain poses make better loopers for instance...and a well-tweaked looper base gives you an awesome blitzer. The figure alone, because of his weight disposition, might cause most any base to loop....but why not maximize his potential?

5) How many yards must he run before veering off left or right to be classified a keeper ?

Depends on his role. Obviously, loopers probably are chosen to loop between 7-15 yards. Some offensive players will do that as well. However, many of your guys have to run relatively straight for the length of the field to be functional. Not saying that a little wiggle or deviation isn't good...depends on the player's job.

5) A figure on one base may run end zone to end zone. On another base he may run 30 yards. Does his pose have anything to do with that ?

Absolutely. Without a doubt. Prove it to yourself by running some tests...especially with custom figures.

6) What figure and base combo have been your superstar ?

Heck...virtually any player can be made into a star with a good base to match his potential.

7) Are you shooting yourself in the foot not putting the right and most talelnted base on a player ?.
Yes
There are some who may say, ok, he runs pretty decent on this base and move on to the next guy. 8) ****DO YOU HAVE SOMEONE WHO CAN MAKE A PLAY ????????

Yes....but on any given gameday, your opponent probably does too!! So, at that point it comes down to coaching. Have a plan for what to do when your first plan fails. Be ready to adapt. Watch your opponent's plays and players and look for tendencies and weaknesses. Even the smallest weakness can lead to a big play for you if you can exploit it. Don't neglect to analyze the coach you are playing against. It isn't all about those bases and pieces of plastic....it is also about the intelligence and tendencies of the man behind the team.
