Magazine call out to coaches! SOS!

We have some great article ideas for the Summer issue in the works and the staff is hard at work on some very good articles. However, we are lacking in some areas.

This includes strategy tips, which includings game play, rules and tweaking. We have not had a "Tweak Doctor" article in a very long time and I understand coaches not wanting to give up any secrets, but the Tweak Doctor is meant to aid a new coach and to get them up to speed in a hurry and make them competitive in a hurry. It is no fun to start a new league and go 0-10...by information sharing new coaches can be competitive quicker.

Also, we are a little lacking in the art aspect of the game. We have had a ton of painting tips and board making tutorials...now I would like to see something different. How to mold your own figures...would be a great article if anyone is up to the challenge. One other suggestion was sideline figures, such as how to make chain gangs, ball boys, trainers, benches, miniature water coolers etc. Items to make the game a little more realistic.

And finally, one item I think that has eluded everyone is a miniature working scoreboard and play clock. For years now I have been trying to come up with a inexpensive way to create a full working scoreboard...not just a computer program, but a true scoreboard with a miniature play clock in the endzone. If anyone has solved this problem and would like to write a "how to" article on how to build such a device...then the hobby would take a huge leap forward.

Once again...I take any and all ideas...the magazine is only as good, as we want it to be and what everyone puts into it. I am very grateful to all of you who do contribute with articles, ideas and just enthusisam. Wolf does a tremendous amount of work (probably 80 hours per issue) and without him and Al Dunham things just would not get done.....thanks to everyone who supports The Tweak and the MFCA

Summer issue deadline is May 30th...I will take articles for the Fall and Winter issues as well if more time is needed.
