Unity!
Dear Reginald,
You just got to know me this year, that's why we are friends! Remember when I made that post regarding other ways of getting NFL licensing? Obviously, that "s" is a gross error on their part and because of that it has great value. For example, no one really searches for a football figure. They search for Football Figures. That's where you have them. Parlay that for the good of the hobby and see if the NFL will give you licensing in return for that "s". It really is that simple from what I understand. I'll talk with you soon once I get some more questions answered. Kicking you butt in Canton soon, Your Friend, Ken Sha!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Licensing
Have many people ever seen the forms that go with getting NFL or NFLPA licensing? Basically, there's two components:
1) A strong up-front commitment to do X in business (usually in the six figure range)...weeding out the people with just "good ideas" 2) A proven manufacturing process (i.e. they scrutinize heavily whether or not you have an established company with other clients, how well you've hit service delivery marks, how big you are, # of employees, etc). They are very hesitant to give to any "mom & pop shops" as they feel they are protecting their brand. It's much easier to partner with someone who already has the license for a new product than it is to go through all the hoops. |

That`s cool..
I`m cool with what Ken & Mike stated. More so because a "possible" light into the reasoning behind the site being taken down. Also Reg is not to upset about this event. But we need to find away for this to never happen again.

Mpls Tom is Definitely correct...
on that about NFL licensing. It's a lot easier to get NCAA licensing if you know someone. I have been fortunate because I know the president of Tennessee athletic department, Mike Hamilton. So when I needed a license in 1998, I went straight to him for help and he helped me with the process along with a few other Tennessee people.
But that just gives you licensing for 1 universities. Imagine trying to get 180 other schools to sign on. But I am not mad at all about what happened. Sometimes great things come out of situations like this. For me, it tells me I can continue to fight or just step away. But for the game, it acts as a unifying message for all. That's what's so good about things that seem to be bleak-something good can come out of it or there's a silver lining. So nah Darrian, I am not upset in the least. No one should be. I just look forward to the convention and seeing good friends and making new ones. That's about it. Reg |

I feel you Tom
Add that to the ideologue. Now the question becomes whether or not the NFL will assist in following a suitable partner who doesn't mind a small island on their continent. Just thinking out loud.

Small Island
The NFLPA used to be good about listing their partners in each of the categories...now it doesn't look to be on their site. They do have a department that deals with trading cards and collectibles...but again, they're looking for the big fish.
