Default Proposed League

doing this?

I guess the one thing I would not want to do is jeopardize your status in your local leagues. It would be very similar to the CBSMF.

This would give guys a chance to have teams they normally would not have had. Everyone would have to understand the Shootout Rules well enough and have at least 3 people in the area who would like to be a part of it. You've got to have statistician/ref/etc.

reg,

I am almost one trillion % positive KARIM and brian healy will join this. one of the best times i had was playing in new jersey with them. IF they join, i will work out the kinks with karim and others.

REG, DOES THE INDEPENDANT STANDING APPLY HERE ALSO. OR DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING ELSE IN MIND

Thanx

Default This is great!!!

Put me down for the Cardinals!

I have a few questions...

1.) How would non conference and non divisional games work?

2.) Will this be only a 32 team league

3.) If #2 is yes...when will guys get together to play

4.) If #2 is no...then for leagues that already use this style of play such as the BAM, LAEFL, DFW, and perhaps now the Great Lakes (which are the 4 main conferences) why have a seperate season? The BAM is upcoming will this effect that?

5.) Will the top teams play in a tournament or an NFL style playoffs at the end of the season?

6.) If playoffs - this wouldn't seem fair to the leagues with more parity

7.) If tournament - I suggest reopening the Texas Shootout.

At the end of the season we will all meet in one loccation for a tournament anyway. So why not? This seems like the most logical idea. This way each league is still able to keep its own identity although we play under the same rules

Default Just thinking out loud

Can the Texas Shootout just be named "The Shootout" and every year, it changes from city to city. Let the body of coaches vote on where they want to host the Super Bowl.

As far as local leagues, I really did not want this to involve local leagues because they have their own independence and agenda and I have personally have no interest in playing locally.

I would not like to lead this charge but create a steering committee to make this possible. I just don't want any league to say I had anything to do with their future in any way.

This would be more of a travel league I guess. I am just thinking out loud here but I know it is possible.

Default THE COMMITTEE

REG,

If you are forming a committee in any regards, please keep myself in mind. NO DISREPECT TO ANY LOCAL LEAGUES INVOLVED. I AGREE WITH REG IN KEEPING THIS FREE AND OPEN BUT HOW WILL IT ALL WORK AND COME TOGETHER . If your doing dupes, maybe have 1 pro team in each region. Maybe with special entries only given to the DALLAS COWBOYS and STEELERS. I may be wrong buy i think they are the two most popular teams in america right now.

reg, just thinking out loud. What do you think of first come first serve ON ROSTERS if dupes are being used. This is entirely for stat purposes. FOR INSTANCE, WHEN THE FIRST COACH TO BUY THE DALLAS COWBOY FRANCHISE, HE MUST IMMEDIATELY POST HIS ROSTER. so if another coach wants the cowboys, he must select an entirely different roster.

lets say,

1 coach gets (aikman)

2 coach gets (rormo)

3)next coach gets (stabauch)

4)next coach gets the great (clint longley)

**** but all can take the same mediocre backup. It a starter gets hurt, then we can only go buy what they have

rb's same thing

1) emmitt

2) dorsett

3)m. barber

etc etc etc.

****you will have the same team but completekly different personel

**IF ALL COWBOY COACHES WANT TO MAKE TRADES AMONGST THEMSELVES BEFORE THE SEASON AND MAYBE DURING THE SEASON. THAT COULD BE A FUN SCENARIO IN COWBOY LAND

**IMAGINE DEON SANDERS AND DREW PEARSON FOR EMMITT SMITH

MANTARAYDRE

PS/ ORRR, LETS SAY YOU HAVE SIX COACHES THAT WANT THE COWBOYS. They can have a draft of cowboys players here on the chat board amongst themselves. The order will have to go by way of purchase dates. IF USING PAYPAL, THE DATE AND TIME OF TRANSACTION WILL BE IN BLACK AND WHITE SO THERE IS NO CONTROVERSY.

Reggie....I think this would be the time to step out of the box and have everyone create their own franchises that are NOT NFL or NCAA teams. There will be no duplications that way....and creativity can flow. Now....your team might have uniforms very similar to a more famous team....but with new helmets or something.....it is up to the coach on how much work they want to put into it.
