F-5 Report
Until now I have remained for the most part silent about the TAEFS F-5 base. After tweaking
dozens & dozens I have an official opinion. The F-5 is the most VERSATILE dialed base EVER. The F-5 has equal strength to the competion. The F-5 has superior speed to the competition. The F-5 has the BEST COMBO of SPEED & STRENGTH. We will soon be releasing a HOW TO guide on tweaking the F-5.Any question feel free to call 620-904-7000 Geno H |

F-5
the F-5 Bases Might Be A Good Base To You And A Lot Of Others But The Bases I Tweak Are More Stronger And Faster Than Anything That I Have Gotten Out Of The F-5 Base. I Am Not Saying That The F-5 Base Is Not A Good Base But The Pro Line Rookie And The Pro Line Ttc Are To Me Just Way Better Bases.

I tweaked up some F-5's for strength last night. Not too bad, but can't get them to beat my tan bases....but I am no master tweaker by any means!!! The amazing thing is, I could probably tweak more on the F-5's still...the plastic is thick and high quality.
I have noticed in my strength tweaking of any base that if you get the plastic too thin while mashing those rear prongs, then you will ruin the base....just not stiff enough anymore to hold the figure/base weight....Also....don't tweak too hard on the front prongs for any base. In the case of the F-5, if you overtweak the front prongs, then the base can't support the weight of some custom figures (like Reggie's) and tipping and other bad functions will result! |

So... Obviously you are making your assessment from what? ... a couple of bases you got from someone? I don't tweak the F5's the same way I tweak the Miggle bases.. And the first two I did tweak? I did do the same as Miggles.. And I didn't get the performance I wanted. I adjusted my tweaks.. (as I have done a hundred times before with Miggles that are now in a scrap heap and destined for maybe making a solitaire team) But in all fairness.. You can't make a review on any base by tweaking.. two. The good thing is.. There's probably enough prong there to tweak it again.. and again.. |

Yep.. That is true with any base.. I even ended up running some of the F5's backwards.. And happy with the results. |

Tell you guys what you should do. Send me a couple of your best bases, f5 and pro line , I will use them in our season coming up and give everyone a honest evaluation. I promise to send them back after the season.
This sounds like a great plan to me. |

F 5 bases
Kansas Bill I run most of my F5's backwards with front heavy figures and they fly. So I can get the speed I want out of them. I'm still tweaking for power, but I may need to try a different way to tweak since they're such a thick prong. But over all good base, and I'll be ordering some more soon.

When you say you run them backwards I assume you have to "train" the prongs to lean the other way. How long does it take for the prong to retain that position. I'd like to try this on mine, and I'd appreciate your help.
Also, are there other bases this works well on? |
