DOES ANYBODY HAVE
COACHES,
DOES ANYBODY HAVE any pictures of figures customized by CHRIS ROBINSON. I have heard often he was the best but i never saw any of his work, Im not doubting he was the best but i would like to know what made him the best. WAS IT THE MATERIAL HE HAD TO WORK WITH ??? LOOKING AT CUSTOMS FROM 1) REG RUTLEDGE 2)MEGAWATZ 3)TVCHACHI ***I personally consider the above mentioned top of the line. So you mean there was something even better. This is like you heard how great babe ruth was but you never saw him play. Just small film clips of him hitting. Was it his work customizing haiti repros that put him over the top ? THANX MANTARAYDRE

I am not that good
I had a chance to see Chris work and he is absolutely fabulous! He specializes in Tudor figures so I can not get a good feel of how he does his work. All I know is he is great at what he does.
Another guy who I love seeing work was Jay Boy. If you ever get a chance to own any of his work, it is the best. Jay Boy is my absolutely favorites! I am not saying this because he's one of my best friends but Jay is very deliberate in his approach. Without a doubt, he's a perfection. I think Bruce Watts rates right up there too. Bruce has great imagination and technique. I never get the chance to tell Bruce how much I admire what he does. TV Chaci is very creative with the things he do. He came on the scene and added very interesting elements to the things he do. I am not that good! I have a great base to work from. I can visualize things pretty quickly and see something when others see nothing. But I don't have the artistic touch that any of those guys have. What I do have is a large supply that I can whip out custom teams at high quality in a short amount of time (if I am not busy). There are other guys like Mike Guttman that you can not overlook. This guy is brilliant in coming up with new poses from some of the FF.Net things. I have not seen much of it online lately but I do know he's just as good as any. I am sure there are many others who do some great things but maybe not as involved because of time constraints. I thank you for including me in what you think but trust me, others are a lot better than me. Reg |

im posting this.
Im posting because i heard coaches would give anything to own a chris robinson figure or team. My question is, WHERE IS HE KNOW ? Does he realize how huge the hobby has gotten. Im sure many many coaches would love to be on the business end of his services. I just want to see how he designed a tudor/miggle figure into something entirely new. Reg your right, jboy combs is the greatest of all times when it comes to painting teams. AT AN EVENTS A FEW YEARS AGO IN REG'S SUITE, JBOY HAD A DALLAS COWBOY FIGURE. You should have seen the gloves he painted on this fig. He also painted the NFL logo on the football being carried by the fig. The same event the year before he actually painted the arizona cardinals helmet logo on a figures in front of our eyes. lomax jaw hit the ground when he handed the fig to him.
I also love the chuck foreman painted by jeff priest, unbelievable. It goes to show you, if you sat down and took your time, youcan detail the greatest looking players in creation. ONE OTHER QUESTION IS, DOES ANYONE PAINT UNDER A MAGNIFYING GLASS ? WOULD THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN FINE DETAIL ? mantaraydre

I don't think he cares too much about that

doing details with paint is when I use a mag-glass... ...if you received a MFCA calender for 2009, you would have seen at least 2 CR figures. John Wright also does figs that are one the same lines as CR only more gurth |
