Default Actually

Our ruleset is pretty straight forward in most areas...but there were some contradictions and thats what our boiling down process was. We are not looking as a league to change anything in the rules but when there were contradictions within the wordage we just took it and made adjustments to the wordage to make sense of it.

Also SOME folks did not read the rules and it made for stressful times during gameplay but now everyone seems versed enough so our gamedays are now more enjoyable. I was just trying to get an idea on how other leagues either develop their respective rulesets and determine who/whom makes the decision on changes?

Thumbs up If you trust your rulemakers

Stick with what you have. It was simpler for us back then when we tested, gathered information, then voted on changes. I know no one should bash anyone who sidesteps their landmines. Hopefully every league can find that trust that you have in Joe and others. Question, do they bash people for adjusting to rules? I think I know the answer. Great post but more importantly you reminded me of what we used to do and why their wasn't so much negativity.

I don't know of any outright bashing of the rules that were adjusted for clarity. But, one never knows of the phone convo's behind the scenes....but like I said we have been fortunate here in the BAM where our Coaches have been nothing but helpful and great leaguemates......

We look to add to that core group next season with more quality, dedicated, committed coaches. We will have both a COLLEGE SEASON AND A PRO SEASON........

ALSO THE BAM COLLEGE SEASON WILL JUST BE OUR ENTRANCE INTO THE CBSMF (BIG APPLE MID-ATLANTIC REGION).......

What I meant was my being bashed for explaining how to deal with drastic changes. Sorry for any misunderstanding.

I just say whatever you agree to, make the adjustment, then enjoy the game. I never played shoot out until last summer. That first game had me tied in knots. I didn't know if I was comin' or goin'. But we had a lot of fun. So much that I don't even know what place I finished in or what. Good leaguemates motivate you to do things for the league unconditionally and that's why our Big Ten was so successful. Hopefully, it is just as successful this summer. I do want to get some games in against other conferences this year though. I think we all could benefit from that.

I used to be so competitive but winning really isn't everything, playing and having fun is way more important.

When I retire from my job in about 16 months I really plan to travel and play people, probably not in every league, for the sake of playing and having fun.

Peace.
