Default Twitter style - Playing the game right now

Teaching a troubled youngster the game right now in my suspension room. Not much of a suspension at the moment, my little 7th grader is off the hook at times, so i gotta come up with alternate ways to reign in this behavior. HELLOOOOO ELECTRIC FOOTBALL.

He is Oklahoma, i am LSU. His team is weighted with puddy and cutomized FF.NET figures, painted to OKLA, i have the plain old yellow players painted up to LSU.

The kickoff is about to start................

45 yard KO return. Billy Sims took it up the left side and had a nice block from Jamaal Brown, but LSU's Booger Mcfarland fought off the block and made the FOB tackle!

Break in the action already. One of his teachers decides, of all times, to come and give homeboy some one on one tudoring. This RARELY happens in the suspension room, but it did today . DARN GOOD TEACHERS!!!!!!!!!

We will pick up the action later, cause it looks like this will be a while.

Gotta say though, for a kid that is very resistant to doing any work and accepting authority, he is complying at the moment with his science teacher, so we are off to a good start. He is learning about mountains, plateau's, and a continental crust.

PS- My little man knows his college players. Started rattling off all time greats from Florida and Nebraska. "Mike Rozier, Tommy Frazier, Roger Craig and Irving Fryar. Mr. Hooper, do you have those guys?"

I dont, but if he knows players like that, and he shows some interest in the game, guess what he will get for Christmas

Default AHHHH...SUSPENSION. I REMEMBER THEM FONDLY.

It was my 6th grade teacher, Mrs. Jackson that I detested with every fiber in my 11 year old being. She was also my 10th different teacher by that time due to my mom always moving away from the bigotry of the early 70s. Pretty white women with mixed kids weren't allowed to live in peace like they can today. So, we moved a lot.

Anyway...Since every race on the planet had beef with the mixed boy (me), and since my mom didn't want me whooping that arse and bringing more attention than we already had, she ingrained in me to beat "them" with my brain. I probably read every book in my school's library and every encyclopedia as well, so I considered myself somewhat smarter than the average kid. I hadn't grown into my athletic side yet, so I tended to "enlighten" my peers with a vocabulary somewhat a crossbreed of Richard Pryor and Seinfeld. Vulgar, yet intellectual.

Somebody asked their parent what "such and such" is/was, because that's what the new kid, Jimi Dunagan, called me. I wound up doing in-class suspensions many a day with Mrs. Jackson. The only lineups I did were "I will not refer to my fellow classmates with words above my grade level." I remember that line to this day because I probably wrote it 50 million times that year! Those were the days!!!

Default TOO FUNNY JIMBO

I can relate to the mixed boy on the block trying to grow up. I didnt hit the encyclopedia, but i did catch one hell of a pass as 10yr. old playing with the teenagers one day, and that was the end of teasing. Long Live FOOTBALL!

The game has resumed with two plays -
15 run for NEGATIVE yardage by AP ("Son, i told you from the start, you gotta know your players, you ran a sweep to the wrong side")

Next play was an incomplete pass to Mark Clayton down the sideline.

3rd and long coming up................

Alright, the young buck completed a nice 25 yard in route to Mark Clayton who proceeded to break a tackle before going outta bounds for an extra 3 yards. 4th down now and about 7. Whats he gonna do?

PS - to the moderators and general reading public - Sorry about this being in the wrong forum, i did not intend to give the play by play. I thought of when we started so when my man acts up again (tomorrow, later today, etc. ) i can refer back to this fun we had and use it. OR, when he is doing well, i can refer to this fun we had as encouragement to keep up the goodwork.

ok, 4th down play coming.....................

OOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!

BILLY SIMS AROUND THE OUTSIDE ON A LEFT SIDE SWEEP FOR A 55 YARD TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

KC (The boys initials) set up a 4wr spread with 1 back and caught me going backwards to play the pass. Sims took around for the score, breaking 1 tackle. But in true electric football style, he curled around the outside, ran into a pile of men, broke free, head outta bounds at around the 20, but then, SOMEHOW , turned up field for the score along the sidelines. KC was so excited he fell to the floor and didnt even see him cross the goal line. . NICE!!!!!!

Well, Don is losing his money cause i just rocked a big kick return down to the 10 yard line. Gary James was beastin' all the way down field.
