What a Game!!!

Now I remember why I play the game! It's for that one special moment that you can only get when you wake up at 3:00 am to finish out a game. It's a sense of freedom, not really caring who win, but just the wanting to finish a game that has intrigue.

The Raiders and the Chiefs was a classic, one that will be remembered by me for many years, and one that makes solitaire play worth the time and energy. When I come back from the post office, I will describe the game between these two great franchises.

To be able to create the players from yore in different poses based on pictures that you found and see the players go out and make plays like you wanted is what this was all about. Up the road, I can't see myself playing any other way!!! It was just total MF bliss for me to laugh at what these guys were doing and shake my head in disbelief in some of the things they did not do!

To see a game like this (after 16 years of not playing alone) where one of the great D-Linemen over power a good O-Lineman and block a FG to send the game into overtime had me wondering if these players had real hearts and minds!

The game took 112 plays to finish in 3 hrs and 10 minutes (man hours) to finish. That's pretty good for what I want to do!

I've got to get out of here right now but I will be back with some highlights and lowlights of playing solitaire.

Reg the word intrigue is what is solitare, two teams different bases no ideal what can happen.The one thing that playing these games does its fun!! Fun playing!The games take on a personality of their own.With what you have all the treats of realism I know the fun u are having!!Keep us posted Reg!!

bull $hit, the fun in playing ef is playing a game going up vs anther coach to see what you can do vs that coach.
when playing solitaire the two teams different bases but you do know what can happen you build the 2 teams.

but if it's your thing then i say do it.

I did this when there was no one else to play against. It became more of a re-enactment than competition. Some seem to have perfected objectivity based on some of the post. You know we just busting your chops Reg!

it is my thing. It's what I do like to do and always has been. Like I said, it's not just about the competition but about everything I like to do on a miniature scale that others have no interest in.

The great thing about this game is that we can play it all alone, without hesitation, and without any reservations.

I am not too sure I understand the Greg Hardmon reference SweetKA? I just like to continue to play the game like I want to. Jim was here in Texas and maybe he never really understood what 16 years of being over the league here could do to a person?

Until you open up your home and do the things I did in the manner that I did them, it would be difficult to understand for some. So there's really not a lot of need to explain that other than I want others who do play alone or like playing alone that it is fun. There's a great deal of fun in that.

One thing I don't like is to spend countless hours arguing or debating and I saw too much of that over the years in the game. I don't have to do that and see that when I play solitaire. For me, it's a time waste and something I don't have to put up with. So for me, this is not BS. This is good and this is what I like to do.

i dont mind playing either way. i did 4 or 5 seasons in leagues, but before and since there just isnt an interest , or very much interest locally for me. but i still enjoy solitaire for many reasons, but i must say the main reason is cause of memories, recreating the times when i was a youngun'. i dont play a lot of games, heck sometimes in a whole calender year, i may only play 5-10 games, yet other times, i can get in 4 or 5 games in one weekend, its just all comes down to what i want to do and what life allows, im sure its the same with everyone. keep doin what you do RR.

Reg I was joking about your game with Greg perhaps influencing your retirement. I know that's not the case dude. You are right about bickering and solitude also. It's your life dude and you can enjoy it anyway you see fit. Again, it was just some clowning on my part and not intended to be serious.

That can be tough not having the participation. Maybe if I played by myself I wouldn't get so many penalties. Oddly enough, I only have time to tweak my players. I run plays as I go because if I am home I am just too busy because of the demands on my time from my children. So, for me in order to play I have to go somewhere or be distracted the entire game. It does work both ways. Maybe when they are gone I can try it again.

Greg just played an outstanding game that day but him and I will have a chance to play again.

Ken, to be honest, I have been wanting to walk away from the game a long time ago. Someone ask me when was the last time I truly had fun in the game. I told them 14 years ago, when the DFW was young.

I did not think about the CBSMF or just the many Road Warriors I have had to come and hang out at my house and just establish friendships with. Anybody know me well knows that I am truly a loner but I do enjoy "the guys too". I must admit this last year in the CBSMF was a lot of fun.

Man, was it great seeing the games being played across the country and the energy. I felt that these were some guys that really appreciated what the game could be! Then when we all got together in Canton, that had to rank right up there as one of the happiest times for me.

I never thought about losing to Greg that weekend. I really did not even want to play that weekend, just do the work to make the event work. If you play this style long enough, you will lose some and win some. I have had my share each way.

But yeah, I do enjoy the solitude of the game. I guess when you don't want to tolerate certain things, its good to have a hobby which can be played alone as well. That being said, I still this year coming in the CBSMF that kicks off in a few weeks and sweet revenge on Greg will be on my mind.
