Default Different idea for TTQB passing

We all know how the TTQB's been designed to work and how everybody's used it to pass the football: as a pull-back catapult. Delivers a lot of force on the ball but also, with repeated usage, has a tendency to eventually break the figure's support leg if it came out of a cheap mould or was fashioned from low-grade plastic. You also have to pretty much put the TTQB in a direct line-of-sight with the intended receiver.

What I was wondering is if anybody ever considered a different method: instead of the pull-back action, use the finger in a flicking motion to launch the ball off the TTQB's holding arm? You could possibly exert more control over the amount of force delivered to the ball and execute lobs over the lines with this method.

Does this seem feasible?
