Rumors Has It That The SWC Will...
be making it official pretty soon!
With 3 DFW Champions, 1 LAEFL Champion, 2 Alamo City EFL Champion and 4 Championship Finalist, the SWC will be one of the toughest conferences in all of America. With 3 of the 4 legendary coaches (Michael Robertson, Don Hudson, and Reginald Rutledge) in DFW history playing in the SWC, this looks to be a 5-star conference. Wow!!! Don Hudson has finally arrived! Arguably the greatest passer in the game, Don Hudson will be lighting it up in the SWC. The only thing though is that everyone has competed against him so he is a known commodity. Mike Robertson, last year's champ, will be trying to lead his Longhorns to an undefeated season again. If anyone is capable, Mike is. Barry Stephenson, one of the game's best competitors, finally has come to the SEC as well. He will have his beloved Sooners and any game Barry plays is sure to end with fireworks. Theron Briggs is an Alamo City Champion and knows the rules as well as most. He has beaten the likes of Michael Robertson and Reginald Rutledge. He should be vying for honors at season's end. Then there is Pervis "Pep-N-Spray" Woods who will bring FSU to the party. Pep is always right there competing for championships. It will be interesting to see if he can come right from a pro league to the college game and play at a high level. There are 12 coaches in the SWC and all have a shot at greatness. It will be interesting to watch the conference where the style originated. You are guaranteed to see last second victories, great defensive plays, and aerial assaults. Get a glimpse of what's in store on March 5th when the Florida Gators from the ACC take on the Tennessee Volunteers of the SWC. This is student versus mentor, Sparks versus Rutledge. The VOLS have already seen articles in the Gainesville paper expecting to take down the #7-ranked VOLS. Only time will tell. |
