Default Redskins preview 2007

Thanks to Dm, I have to put up my Redskins Preview for 2007.

QB - Now the the J.Campbell era really begin this season (from the start) you will see that he has the skills to make the offense shine. Strong in the pocket, he will get pleny of time to look downfield for all open recievers.

RB - Well after a breakout season last year, L.Betts will be more of the punisher after C.Pottis races arounf the outside. Our 1-2 combo will be extra special if Portis can stay on the field. FB M.Sellers will be leading the way and they will get back to getting him the ball in the redzone like 2 years ago.

O-Line - with the addition of T.Wade moving in at LG, we have a huge line made for road-grading... only gave up 9 sacks last year, should be better this year. oh, BTW, we were #4 in rushing last season.

WR/TE - S.Moss will be back to the ProBowl level this season now that he has worked with the QB more during off season. Look for more big plays down field. C.Cooley is a monster at the TE spot and will most likely command more attention which will make it hard to double up on Moss. Only weakness is which WR will step up and take the #2 spot. I feel that Randle-El will be the one because he has the talent and the heart to run the plays that used to go to Moss.

Defense

D-Line - we did not add any newcomers so it will be up to the guys we have to make their presence felt. If we get any pass rush from them, our blitz packages will be extra special.

LB - we now have a tackling machine in the middle (L.Flether-Baker) and more speed on the outside, the unit is solid.

CB - The return of Smoot and a healthy S.Springs inproves the unit. We also have C.Rodgers coming back and improving along with D.Macklin to secure the coners.

Safety - We will have a pair of the hardest hitters in football back there. Going over the middle will get someone busted-up when S.Taylor comes crashing down them. Or Rookie Landry cracking some ribs.....

The experiments are over, back to winnign the Joe Gibbs way!!!!!!!!! 11-5 or better.
