painting process
Hi,
A thing I forgot to talk about : when you paint figs and want to try effects on it (dry brushes, washes, inks, etc...) it's easier to work step by step : for exemple, if you want to wash the jerseys, you will be annoyed by the stripes. If you want to detail the skin, you will be annoyed by the gloves. You see what I mean ? Look on my work in progress topics : I always start with the main colors (jerseypant-skin), and always finish with the small details (shoes stripes, uniform stripes, face, straps and gloves). I often even start with the skin, and once it's done I make the jerseys and stuff. ALways go from the deepest (skin) to the top (decals for example). Like a big sandwich, it's easier to put the mustard first than try to put it once the sandwich is completed and cutted You see it's easier and fast, since you don't have to be carefull with all the little details. |
