Default Teaching the Game: The CBSMF Ruleset

Yesterday, I scheduled some time to show Rafiyq and JoeRam the CBSMF ruleset. Some of you may know, I love education more than most things on this earth! I've thought so much about going back and getting my me a Ph.D just because I have that thirst for knowledge and appreciate the importance of education.

Anyhow, I found myself in a "teaching" mode last night. For me, I have had little interest in league play or being involved in group activities lately. However, yesterday was great. I had the chance to show guys the CBSMF Ruleset. They took to the rules like a dolphin in water. They wanted to see the game played at a faster pace. They wanted to understand the strategies behind the style of play. They wanted to ask questions, mess up, and figure things out. They wanted someone to show them about the creativity of the style of play.

We started at about 4:00pm. My wife and son, I told them give me 2 hours. 5.5 hours later, I must have talked my head off and may have made them lose their wives. I may have lost my wife too. We ended up doing what most MF'ers do. You talk, you go over rules, and then you customize. I showed them little techniques for customizing. They always thought you had to be careful and easy with the figures until I showed them all the things you could do. For me, that gave me a lot of appreciation.

We created a QB and a downlineman. I showed them several players they could create and it really hit them that its a lot easier than they thought. The video did not lie but they saw, it was much easier than even the video. So a part of the teaching of the game was showing how to create the custom figures.

It gives you great joy when you can help a person understand what you know and show them, there are no limits in the style of play as well as the style of figures you can create. So thanks to JoeRam and Rafiyq for dropping by and wanting to learn.
