I think it's a matter of if you really want the competition. Personally I love competing win or lose because I think it improves whatever I'm doing, but I can certainly see solitaire being a good practice tool.

And lets face it. It's not always easy to get a game going with others if no one is close by.

It's a hobby. There is no wrong way to play. Just have some fun!
