Creating the Zone Blocking Scheme: The Denver Broncos
Today I get to play the Denver Broncos versus the New Orleans Saints. It's the 1977 Orange Crush Defense with the 1998 Denver Broncos offense against the 2009 New Orleans Saints.
In a couple of hours, I will be attempting to analyze how to create zone blocking scheme in miniature football. For many years, that is what I have ran in miniature football. For solitaire, it will be a little different because the pre-reads for the defense will be made ahead of time. And the blocking schemes of the offense will be pre-determined. What I have to create scenarios for is when I want to move all the linemen laterally one way or the other way or do I want the line to split in the 1-2-3-4-5 or -B-C-D gaps and how can I translate that into using the box without taking up extra time. The defense will be pre-determined but it's the offensive scheme I worry about. Shown below is Brian Bellick's diagramming and analyzing the scheme. I will attempt to run this scheme for the Denver Broncos with Terrell Davis as the workhorse. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-networ...locking-scheme Reg |
