Default Congratulations to Ryan Roche and Zack Greco

In perhaps the most entertaining game of the weekend at the Miggle Convention Ryan Roche and Zack Greco played a 5 hour, 5 overtime marathon in the Championship game of the Senior Spark bowl. The game was extremely well-played with each coach completing many clutch passes to keep the game going.

The game began Saturday night at about 9 o'clock and was halted at 12:30 Sunday morning (when the room had to be closed) and continued at 9 am until about 10:45 am.

It was an extremely exciting, well-played game. After regulation the score was tied at 7 - 7. In the first and second OT both teams scored TDs which brought the score to 21 - 21. In the third and 4th OTs both defenses stiffened and each team kicked 2 clutch field goals the last one being a long bomb by Ryan Roche that just cleared the crossbar.

With the score tied at 27, and the Roche family needing to leave for the airport, it was decided that each team would have one play from the 50 yard line. With Ryan going first, he was stopped for a 5 yard loss. With Zack needing one yard to win a shovel pass was completed in the backfield to his running back but Ryan's defense made the stop for a 2 yard loss. As neither team gained any positive yardage, the game remained tied.

At that point with the score still tied it was decided that the game would officially be called a tie and that Ryan and Zack would be declared Co-Champions - a very fitting end to the game.

I would like to give a special shout out to John Stamm who was the referee/statkeeper for the game. He was there for the entire time Saturday night and Sunday morning. His unselfishness in giving up his own free time to fellowship with others was remarkable. Thank you John - I know everyone appreciated your contribution.
