Week 5 of the Virginia Electric Football League was a defining week in the 2007 season!

The Redskins and Cowboys are dead even and the two strongest teams in the league! The Redskins upset the Cowboys on the last play of the game with Joe Theisman 49 yard touchdown pass to John Riggins! The playoff picture for this division could come down to a first ever divisional playoff game! If the Cowboys lose in week 6 and the Redskins win the Redskins would go to the NFC Championship. Vice versa if the Redskins lose and Cowboys win. If they both win or both lose in week 6, it will force a divisional playoff game. High drama!!

The Colts and the Ravens both captured playoff spots and will compete for the AFC championship game after sweeping their respective division rivals.

The Rams locked in their playoff spot in the NFC Championship when they swept the Giants.

The defending Super Bowl champion Cleveland Browns have had a dismal year. Currently at 1-4 vs last season when they were 4-1 at this time. The collapse of the Browns squad, who had no base adjustments or changes after sweeping the 2005 season, is by far the most suprising outcome of this 2007 season so far.
