Are The Day's Of Playing 3.2 Slowly Becoming A Pastime.
Coaches,
I noticed many coaches around the country are starting to upgrade their teams to a higher weight. Some are going 3.8, some 3.6 some 4.0 and even unlimited. Playing 3.2 was status quo in the past but i think it is slowly becoming phased out. The only 3.2 team i have are my swb mantaray's. At 4.0 the fig's fly down field at the same speed of a 3.2 player. There may be some coaches still reluctant to transfer over to a higher weight due to having teams already made. What are some of your experiences playing at both weights. Do you notice any difference in the performance of your team? I personally feel it's crazy to sand a figure, drill holes to rid the fig of some of it's plastic, cut off part off a base and all these little things to make weight. Why cant we just paint and decal a fig, stick him on a scale and whatever he weigh's he weigh's. I see coaches at events chopping and driilling and sanding you would think we were at a construction site. I like jimbo and ant burgess because they have the mentality to just want to line up and play. I have a question, if we are playing in a style that is open (no stacking and lineman spread a base length apart) linebacker at 3 to 5 yards behind the lineman. WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES THE WEIGHT MAKE ON YOU RUNNING YOUR PLAY ? THE SAME THING GOES WITH BOILED BASES, IF IT'S A BOILED VS NON BOILED SITUATION, ARENT YOU SUPPOSED TO HAVE BLOCKING SCHEMES AND STUNTS TO PLAY EITHER OFF OR DEF. Wr's, what diff does it make what they weigh if we are going to play a style where we play bump and run, not jamming at the line. I LOVE THE BUMP AND RUN WAY OF PLAYING. If the wr is 4.5 and the db is 6.8, they still have to run down field together ! Would'nt it fun to watch that WR throw a block on that DB !!!!!!!! MANTARAY
