![]() Hey my EF/MF family:
Customizing figures is a labor of love. Really its a skill that takes time, passion, and patience. In my journey I have seen so many great figures and creations that I feel that I have been very blessed to see and also be informed with how to tips from some of the greats in our hobby. Soft Plastic: Now there is really only one product in this catagory. FootballFigures.com. now the reason this product is so remarkable is its ease and simplicity to use. A razor some crazy glue a cigarette lighter, some ice water and your imagination is all you need to begin to create outstanding figures. Not only can u create things that look great on the field, but the impact players you can come up with just might change what you think about how the game is played in any style or system. Hard Plastics: Now as for the this catagory it too has many great masters Chris Robinson, Terry Popham, Bruce Watts, Damon aka for u 2 hate Brad Collins Don & DC Smith Tvs Chachi and so many others show that hard plastic custom figures are here to stay. The skill itself is more complex now just because the plastic is harder does not mean that u cant make awsome stuff. Using heat,Hobby Saws, chopping and using other figure parts and detailed figure sculpting are skills that are necessary in this realm. But once you understand the science of hard plastic its a rewarding feeling when you make that figure that takes yours and everyone elses breath away. understand that whether you chose soft are hard plastic figures to chop. Learn and understand the physics of what your using. Ask questions to guys who are experienced, save pics of NFL photos and other custom figures and even McFarlene NFL figures are an excellent source to give you a lead on that next great custom. Stay Blessed. Last edited by Biglock : 02-05-2008 at 03:56 PM. |
