Default The War Gaming hobby teaches Big Lock a lesson.

This past saturday i went to a Wargaming Hobby shop, I wanted to get more accurate flesh tone paints, Luckily I got to see a Warhammer/Period Base War tournament, and boy was I blown away, not enough to drop my Figs and Buy a thousand Space Marines or Two Hundred Long Shanks, but I was impressed none the less, what did impressed me was the figure artistry and the Battlefield table, these guys paint these figures with such realism, one guy when his figures were killed in battle insted of using the little red flag marker would use what he called a killed marker, which is an exact replica of the figured that was killed but with bullet holes, extreme poses looking like figure was hit in battle, he had one pose that looked like a distraught soldier holding his slain comrade in his arms, the detail was slick and real, the grass and hills of the battlefield, with cannon marks and fortresses that looked real, then I started thinking of my beloved hobby, how the realness of our figures have improved, how our fields of play have improved, how we now have more realistic styles that are closer to the realness of football. We must continue to evolve, change the view of how others look at our hobby, its not the same game you played in 1982, we must keep pushing the envelope on custom figs to bring the feel and passion of the excitement of football to any and all who witness what we do. The Wargaming Hobby taught me that passion and presentation can make what you do much more enjoyable, lets stay the course my EF/MF family we to can have what they have, A large following of great hobbyists.

Stay Blessed
