Default The Sanctity of the Huddle

I have always wanted to do a huddle but never had the time. I remembered being in many huddles during my playing days and everything from jokes to flatulance to "give me the ******** ball" to crying took place.

What you are seeing is one of the most famous huddles in NFL history, the Kansas City Chiefs crisp huddle during the early 70's. The only difference is that Len Dawsom use to stand up during the huddle some times and some times he went to one knee. This one shows him on one knee pointing to the skill players telling them they've got to make a big play for him.

To me, this was the one place during a football game where it was like a sanctuary. No one else could come in to your world and you were all as one.
