Default NHFL Great Plains Region Action

The Great Plains Region of the NHFL put some more games in the books this weekend.

Lance's Dawgpound Warriors defeated Lynns Super Sumos 16-3 a day prior to our get together in Wichita..

In Wichita the Sumos beat the Tornados 14-7.. (PS.. I had more yards run on me by QB's scrambling this weekend than I have ever seen.. I'd have every receiver bottled up.. and the QB would get hit by his own man and run straight... BOTH GAMES)

The Tornados came back for a 4-3 overtime victory over the Boars

And in a classic... The Dawgpound Warriors and the Raymond Airohawks combined for 458 yards of passing and 5 touchdowns in a game me and Flynt stopped playing ours to go watch.. The Airohawks, trailing 14-6, scored on the final play of regulation with an 85 yard TD pass, and then made the two point conversion to send it into overtime.

In the overtime, The Airohawks took the ball first at their own 20 and ended the drive with a 41 yard pass TD to take the lead, 20-14.. And then opted to go for the 2 point conversion, which by NHFL overtime rules, would have ended the game right there with a successful 2 pt conversion. The conversion was no good and the Warriors threw for their 3 passing TD of the game in overtime, and the Warriors came away with a hard fought 21-20 OT victory, knocking the Airohawks from the unbeaten ranks.

Final Passing Stats.. Warriors 7 for 9, 214 yds, 3 tds, 1 int.
Airohawks 9 for 16, 244 yds, 2 tds..

Standings at this point of the Season..

Airohawks 4-1
Tornados 4-2
Warriors 4-2
Sumos 2-4
Boars 1-4
Sodbusters 0-2

From the looks of things.. I'd better get all the Great Plains Region stats compiled now.. Cuz I've got some coming from the Garden State and Twin Cites region.
