ATTENTION ALL MFCA MEMBERS! Help the HHEFL pick our 2007 League MVP
PLEASE READ POST BELOW BEFORE VOTING ON POLL!
The 2007 HHEFL season just wrapped up last week...and now it is time for some awards. We thought it would be fun to let you...the MFCA...choose our league MVP for us. Each coach got to choose one player from their team, who they believed to be MVP material. Below is a list of each player up for election, along with a brief season highlight and the players stats. Please base your voting on your opinion on how the player performed. All game hightlights are available at www.leaguelineup.com/hhefl if you want to read up on the players. This post will come down on Friday May 30th at 6pm and a winner will be announced. Thanks for helping and long live football! (Listed in alphabetical order) Carolina Panthers coached by Tim Young Player chosen...Brad Hoover #45. Brad Hoover was "Mr. Excitement" for Carolina in 2007, scoring their first ever points with a 100 yard kickoff return against the Raiders on October 22, 2007. He returned 14 kickoffs for 597 yards and 2 touchdowns averaging a league high 44.20 yards per return. Not bad for a full back! Chicago Bears coached by Adrian Seldon Player chosen...Devin Hester #23. Devin Hester got his opportunities in 2007. With 21 kickoff returns, this special teams fast man finished with 2 touchdown returns and 693 yards, averaging 33.0 yards per return. He also contributed on offense with 7 receptions for 120 yards and 1 touchdown. His total combined output...813 total yards. Dallas Cowboys coached by Matthew Culp Player chosen...Tony Romo #9 The secret to the Cowboys success was great defense and a passing game. Romo lead the league in every category...most completions, most yards, most touchdowns and highest completion percentage. He finished 56 for 94 with 986 yards passing, 12 touchdowns and 1 interception and a completion percentage of 59.6%. Oakland Raiders coached by Sergei Chernetsky Player chosen...Tory James #20 Tory James was the offense for the Oakland Raiders. He lead the team in rushing with 50 carries for 243 yards and 4 touchdowns. He also lead the team in receptions and yards with 19 receptions for 277 yards and 1 touchdown. He also was the return man on kickoffs. San Diego Chargers coached by Matt Wavra Player chosen...Drew Brees #9 Drew Brees was at the center of the offense for the Chargers. He became the first quarterback in league history to lead his team in rushing. He had 37 carries for 203 yards...5.48 yards per carry. His passing numbers...32 for 63, 579 yards, 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions with a 50.8% completion percentage. To top off the season, he lead the attack in the championship game, defeated the Dallas Cowboys and was named Superbowl I MVP.
