Bases Need Time
Yes, I agree that some bases get better after they have been used for a while. Believe it or not, there is friction between the prongs and the board’s surface. Basically, the plastic breaks down as the base is used. Some bases take longer than others to wear out. Tweaking helps to accelerate that process.
Electric Coach.com is not a league. The Electric Coach is solo. I use boiled bases all of the time with my tweaked bases. Sometimes I combine the different types of bases. I have some bases that have a boiled shell and a tweaked dial and vice versa. Ultimately, my teams have to be ready for the camera. I don’t know if you know about what I do and me. I video my teams in games and later put them on the web. I try to depict my teams in the best possible light. I don’t want to show a particular manufacturer’s base performing poorly.
