Injury to the QB for the CBSMF
Just got through talking with the Big 10 Commissioner Greg Hardmon about QB injuries. One of the important rules in the Shootout system deals with injuries. When the college league kicks off, coaches must understand that if their starting QB gets injured, that means the TTQB or TDQ as well as any other player used for him during a game.
The severity of the injury will be determined by "The Box". It could be as little as 4 plays or as much as 6, 7, 8 games or season ending injuries. This can occur on any player that you may have. This is why it will be critical to have competent back-ups instead of just benchwarmers. I would hate to see your great QB go down in week 1 and you can not recover because you had not let the backup take any reps. Same can be said for the great runners or any other athletes. So make sure when you make your team, plan for more than just one player getting the reps because injuries will occur and they will change the course of your season. Reginald Rutledge CBSMF |
