Default The Contagious Feeling of Having Fun

Lord knows I've got all the "book sense" in the world. I've got the formal degrees and the honors. I have the civic awards to go with that. And the religious background that refrains me from doing bad. I even do a little business in the meantime. But there's nothing quite so like the shear excitement or high of just having fun. I don't know about yall but when I am in my miniature football zone, there's no greater excitement and thrill in the world! I have no question that wherever the rest of my life takes me from an academic, business, religious, or any perspective, I will continue to be wild and crazy with MF!

Man, I am loud! I am passionate! I am excitable! I am intense! Most of all, I am having fun! There's nothing called "Hush" when you come around me! Slapstick humor and Peanut Galleries are where it's at! I talk to my players! I tell them what I think of their performance! I go into this magical world of make believe! I am Peter "The Freakin' Pan". When members of my league come over, they go right into that portal of a world of make believe. I don't know if they do it just to appease the craziness in me but they seem to like it too! For 3-4 hours, we let our guards down and just be kids again!

I take this approach anywhere I go! When I am at any type of convention or show, the grown-up in me goes away and I go back to Never neverland! It's one of the greatest feelings you could ever experience. When you come across guys who want to experience that magic, you want to give it to them too! I guess that's one of the attractions to the DFW Miniature Football League. It's rarely stated (only by MRobertson) but I have to think these guys want to experience the rediscovery of just screammin' and yellin' and having a good ole' time.

What I do is not for everyone and I understand that! Heck, believe it or not, I am a pretty serious guy with much to do. But when I get that unique opportunity to be Peter Pan, I take full advantage of it. It just happens that Never Neverland happens on my miniature gridiron.

I wish everyone could let themselves freely go like I do because I tell you, it's a rush!

Reg
