The toughest division in the DFW...
There are many arguements of "which is the toughest division in football"? Is it the NFC East or the AFC South?
As much as our league tries to rival the NFL we never thought of it to this degree. In the DFW those very same divisions are a hot topic on which division in the toughest in the league. You can make an arguement for both... The NFC EAST is 18-9, The AFC South is 18-9; The NFC East has 8 superbowl appearances and 3 championships, The AFC South has 9 superbowl appearances and 6 championships In the 14 year history of the league there have only been 4 coaches to win a championship, 3 of them are in these 2 Divisions In the NFC EAST the 7-1 Eagles coached by Super Bowl runner up Barry Stephenson, the 6-1 Cowboys coached by the resurgent 3 time DFW superbowl champ Reggie Rutledge, 3-4 Redskins coached by Kevin Boddie (his record is not indicitive of how good a coach he really is.) the Giants 2-3coached by rookie sensation Antonio Jones In the AFC South the 4-1 Colts coached by 5 time DFW Champ Mike Robertson, 8-1 Texans coached by the infamous Jim Davis, 6-3 Cininnatti Bengals coached by the upstart coach Douglas Shanafelt, and the 0-4 Oilers coached by the legendary Oscar Woodard So you tell me, which division is the toughest in your opinion?
