![]() COACHES,
IF YOUR INTERESTED IN THE MPFL, coaches are under the impression that you must use ALL 4 STOPS. Not so. Your have the first stop which is the snap of the ball. During this time you adjust your players for the play you have designed. 1) offensive lineman adjusted for a) traps b)pulling lineman for sweeps etc etc 2) qb is adjusted to hand the ball off 3)running backs are adjusted to receive handoff's a) for sweeps around end b) traps up the middle etc etc THE DEFENSE IS ADJUSTING IT'S PLAYERS AT THIS TIME ALSO. It's up to you, if your play is ran to your satisfaction where the defense is not going to get a clean tackle. You can just let the play run it's self out as your second and final stop. YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO USE THE ADDITIONAL 2 STOPS. Your RB may just break one on the 2cnd stoppage. The addl stop's (3 and 4) are for making cutback's into holes or into another direction if the defense is stout and pursuing heavily. it is totally on you. You may go through an entire game using only two stops. YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE ALL STOPS IF YOU DO NOT WAN'T TO !!!!!!!! MANTARAYDRE
