I like the qb true handoff aspect of the system
MPFL FAMILY,
Another thing i like about the system is the qb's handoff and stay out of the way aspect in this system. This develop's the relationship between the running back and his offensive lineman. like ant said, after the snap, you must coach your players on who to block as the play develop's. Will my ricky williams run behind larry little or my karim al-jabbar run behind dwight stevenson. or do they pull for a sweep. life will be quite different in the MPFL. During my entire time in the hobby, it was alway's push vs push. The qb and both running backs plowed behind the offensive at the same time. Now with with qb getting out of the way, you must teach yourself to find the holes and alleyway's. Jimbo and ant burgess, two great football minds think alike. They both like the qb handoff and both let the receivers run downfield with the db's playing coverage. Smitty is also correct, this is the future of the hobby. Any new coach interested in this style must approach it as miniature professional football. What they watch on TV is what they can do in this system .
