Thinking of Building an LED Scoreboard

Does anyone care about scoreboards? They are really a non-essential component of the hobby since most serious players keep down, distance, and stats on separate paper forms.

I am reading a book on electronics figuring that an LED circuit board would not be the most difficult thing in the world to construct.

There are commercial scoreboards available. Some are as small as a large wall painting. But they are very expensive and out of the scope of the budget for myself and most hobbyists I'm sure.

I am visioning something that looks 100% authentic alongside a real NFL scoreboard and somewhere between 10"-10" wide. Would anyone be interested in this?
