Default His Homefield is based on his team, not yours

If the board is not adjusted to what your team does, then it is not home field advantage. It's just a generic field and no home field advantage exist.

If a guy tweaks his team to a high speed for his field and team, that's his advantage and it should stay as such.

If numerous players fall from the visiting team, yes you should slow it up some to make sure that does not occur and the home team should have an max and mins on what he know his team would be able to perform at.

However, I think the home team have an obligation to make sure the game can be played fairly too. For me, if the board is too high where my men continue to fall, I probably will just give that coach the win and move on. Too much time wasted arguing about playing for me.
