Default Offense can be pierced

There are places to "pierce" the line as well. Outside LBs (Swoopers in our terminology) can come around on an 8 yard loop and make plays but the defensive line must get a push to allow this to happen.

I was not winning every battle and some teams used 3-3 schemes and 3-4 schemes to nullify what I was doing. But yes, it is an advantage to the offense. But with a touch anywhere, yards are not always a given.

That's where the arrow/boat base has some significance because it can pinch in between the linemen and disrupt what you want to do.
