Default Remember That Feeling?

In early July I was looking for the perfect gift for my son. I thought for days when I had an epiphany. Why not get him what made you the happiest? I thought of my favorite gifts and one stood out most. It was my Electric football game Steelers vs Cowboys in the 70's. This would be perfect. It was off to EBay. I found a couple of boards and won two. I Won some figures and the gift was complete. When his birthday came the boards were not here but I had the men. I did research and found you guys at MFCA and joined. I was amazed at what I saw being done with one of my favorite "TOYS". I saw figures, fields, stadiums etc... I got that original rush I had when I first saw my first field in the JC Pennys Christmas catalog.

Since that moment I have ordered figures, Hand Painted teams, researched boards, and have yet to play a real down. I have however had the pleasure of watching my son play play after play on a board with no motor and just the figures he can hold in his hands. This past sunday I took a two hour drive with all the extra cash I had (not much). The purpose was to get a field and meet a total stranger who only shared and expressed a love for the same hobby as me. My son, Uncle, and I left my urban oasis, and headed to the countriest part of Spartanburg S.C. We had one the best experiences. I sat with Joel P for 5 hours learned about the hobby and walked away with a great feelin. I left with tools for the game, my son had "a red team", and we both had the hope of seeing the little men come alive. We were happy. Remember that feeling?

Thanx again Joel
