CBSMF 3 BACK QUESTIONS
CBSMF REPRESENTATIVES.
I printed out the rules friday and will be formulating a playbook this week. Before i do just a few questions. 1)can the 3 backs be placed anywhere behind the line WITHIN ALL OF THEIR LIMITS prior to any audibles. Then placed in their play positions during the audible ? ie, have them spread, then placed in the i formation. 2)Are we honoring the wing T (wildcat formations) ? 3)If running the option to either side WITH 3 BACKS IN THE BACKFIELD. I understand the qb cannot block for the runners. Cant block for the runners period with three (3) in the backfield. So, on a option WHERE THE QB does not keep it, do you 1) Take him off the field physically since he cannot block. 2) Do you turn him around to run in a direction away from the play, since he cannot block ? 3)Does it matter. 4) We can, run any passing package with three(3) backs coming out of the backfield, screens, swing passes, designed checkdowns We all know this will be an asset due to covering backs out of the backfield is alot harder than the receiver on the line. NO ONE IS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THEM. I see alot of underneath zone if 3 backs are ditected in a lineup. ***If running the ball, is stacking the 3 backs in an "I" formation allowed with the qb running the other way. For instance, spreading the backs somewhat wide to make the defense think your going to pass. Then audible into a 3 backs stack behind a tackle or guard. I just skimmed over the rules briefly but will read them in depth this week. Just want to hear it CLEARLY on what can be done in this system, Like denzel washington said, " Explain it to me like im 6 years old " Denzel in the movie, philadelphia Thanx mantaraydre
