Default Passing Accuracy

Considering the amount of ground an active player is able to cover in order to catch the ball how realistic is it to have passing be limited to just directly hitting the receiver figure?

Default Ground

Hey Lindy, a pass directly to a standstill receiver is not realistic in minature football. Actually a pass to a receiver with the board running would be the most acurate and realistic, but this is not really plausible. The passing stick method is more accurate, but what do you need for more realism in a TTQB pass. You need to call pass and designate a receiver on a board stoppage. You then need to turn the board on again to simulate the pass route with defensive reaction, by either an on board timer or a stick placed for receiver route. This would time the route for the pass which would not be more than a second. This would allow defenders to react to the direction of the pass and allow a receiver to move to a point of reception on the run. The board would be stopped a second time and the pass would be thrown. This is a really great way to play. I wish more coaches would experiment with this system because it presents a wonderfully exciting creative style of passing. I have seen many games of minature football where and expert passer simply passes every play until he hits his receiver who 95% of the time is wide open for either a TD or big gain. This most certainly occurs from bullet passes to a standstill receiver with no built in defender reaction. Why even attempt to run the ball when the odds are in your favor to hit a big pass on every possession.

Default I HEAR YA.

COACHES,

REGARDING TTQB PASSING, I do like the idea your presenting in which the defense gets a chance to make a play on the ball. i have said this many times and all it did was lead to those post going south because some did not agree. I have played in many games and seen many more games. Once the WR gets open, there is nothing left for the defense to do is hope he misses.
The game of football is constant movement once the ball is snapped until the whistle is blown. I cant understand why some got offended when it is just the plain truth. But i see others feel the same way. In the pro set league some coaches are frustrated because that pitch and catch aspect has been taken away. But everyone has there own opinions regarding the game and they will play and enjoy it how they see fit. I like the idea of giving the defense a chance.

In regards to stopping the board and indentifying a receiver, then turning the board back on. This simulates the receiver making his break on the ball when the board comes back on and the defense running over to make a play and possibly jumping the route. A defender could possibly end up directly behind the receiver so a ttqb pass to him is almost impossible. Unless you throw the greatest touch pass in the world and it hits the wr in the helmet. but thats the beauty of the defense coming over to disrupt the route/pattern.
great idea !!!!!!!!

Default You know...

if a coach runs good defensive schemes under most current rules your players can be in position to make plays - I did it to Mozeek's Raiders this year and my safety returned the int 100 yds for a TD at the other end.

It has taken me some time to figure out defense schemes that work in specific situations.
