Don't know about the best ever that is too hard for me to compare. The game has changed so much in the last few years. They are the best right now from top to bottom and have been for a number of years. Based on tournament play
I do know they turn out in numbers for tournaments and league play and always place very high
I would love to play vs them in the future

its always easy to be the best when ya play in your own backyard.

we had this convo before.... all the tourney wins etc etc etc are ALWAYS in thier own yard with thier own rules etc etc etc..

like it or not.. thats the bottom line.

I kind of agree with Rick. I think we had one person from the west go to Miggle. It is always held back east, so the folks in that region provide most of the players. Geno comes from the Midwest, but he couldn't stay for the semi-finals...hard to say where he might have finished.

I think you have to give it to Louisiana. Ron Bell 4 time winner.

Here is the list of champions. I don't know. How many are Great Lakes guys?

Default Well

I disagree with Rick.Great Lake coaches play all styles.Miggle rules ain't our rules...We play buzzball,Miggle, shoot out and then ours.Which miggle is like the shooting with any touch which we never played any touch in our league ever. And in the shoot out Great Lakes coaches are right up there in that tourney to......So west coast people besides a few only play there own rules ONLY....

If I couldn't play a lick.
If I was in full denial.
If I was not humble enough to know this.

Then I would also sit at the pad knowing that I could not win then type on a keyboard because I don't want to get better, just say I'm the best.

BTW: We all met Vince at the convention and guess what?

The guy was tweaking for people at 5:30 in the morning, teaching, holding strategy sessions, giving insight, showing his tools.

Eric Thompson, Marty, and Vince are the best out west and I know at least two, Thompson from Detroit, and Vince from Lansing, who are from the very place (Michigan) where the Great Lakes has their base of operation.

I am starting to wonder if Vince is a frustrated Cinderella and some of you guys are the wicked step-sisters. Get your act together and let somebody teach you how to play.

Memo: You can't

To all you other good people out west, we know Perry and many others are great coaches please be advised that if you don't fit the mold then it does not apply to you.

Great Lakes, NEFL BEFA, BAM, Philly, Mid-Ohio, DSMFL, We doing up here baby together.

Seeing our newest kids hanging tough with the Deep South Crew brought great pride to Charles Lane (DSMFL) and I. The reason I say this is because our next generation is already bonded thus they won't have the growing pains. That will grow the hobby.

Seems some ya are behind in that universal concept as well.

Just my thoughts.

Let's not start this BS again! The chest thumping and claiming this and that!

Miggle just ended, let the winner enjoy himself and quit with the who's the best garbage! I am sick and tired of reading it!

We are grown ups playing with freakining little plastic men for Christ's sake! Success or failure at this game should not mean crap to any of us and if claiming the best at this is what drives you and defines you as an adult you have some serious issues!

You should worry about being the best father, son, husband, brother, friend, employee, mentor, etc...instead of claiming who is the best 42 year old that plays with plastic men!

This crap sickens me and who really cares when we are dead and buried about our successes at EF, no one, that's who!

You guys have some problems!

The guy that asked the question has never played in the Great Lakes. He may be a fan but he was speaking on his own observations and not for the coaches.

The winner is from the Great Lakes and he is around that age. Maybe taking the time to congratulate the winner would serve better don't cha think?

This isn't serious to us. It's our hobby. Nor am I ashamed of being a grownup playing with freaking little plast men.

Can't worry about what I already am and what 99% of the coaches in the hobby are. I'll bet this hobby, by far, has more married, great parents than the national average.

This crap sickens me and who really cares when we are dead and buried about our successes at EF, no one, that's who!

What? My kids will care, my friends will care, that's who. When my friend's brother died that was in his obit that he was the reigning champion of our leage. We all care about this hobby and when we are dead and gone we'll leave our youngsters to carry on.

Shabby seriously, there are three types of people that play MF. adolescents and early teens, then life takes ofver for a bit and they don't pick the game back up until they have a settled career. Then they pick the game back up in their early thirties. That's the trend here.

FYI. The "Jimmie" that posted is Jimmie Jackson who is an avid solitaire player. Not the one that plays in the great lakes.

You guys have some problems!
Loving a hobby that is over 50 years old that requires both patience and diligence. I'll freely admit to having that problem, until I die

Long Live MF
