We would like to take this opportunity to bring you up to date as the MFCA BOD has recently divided up some of its duties among its board members. Below is the list of Coordinators and their area of primary responsibility.
BOD Coordinators
Board Coordinator: (Chris LeMay) The Board Coordinator is in charge of calling for meetings and setting up teleconferences. He leads the meetings and has the ability to call for a vote. Essentially, this is a chairman of the board position and all BOD members will contact this person to setup any BOD related meeting or activity.
Communications Coordinator: (Joe Greco) Checks the emails daily and forwards all communications not associated with membership to the proper Coordinator. Tracks and files important documents related to the running of the MFCA. Keeps a document up to date with all important info such as passwords, hosting contracts. Etc. The Communications Coordinator will also make posts on the forum regarding any BOD decision under the MFCA Board of Directors username.
Convention Coordinator: (Corey Johnson) The Convention Coordinator will be in charge of working with the BOD to select a location, date, time and event schedule for the convention. The Convention Coordinator will oversee all planning, award ordering, banquet preparations and any other activity associated with the convention. The Coordinator may add any number of people to help him in this task and all BOD members should all be willing to assist in whatever way possible. The next year convention should always be announced on the last day of the current year’s convention so planning on this begins each May.
Hall of Fame Coordinator: (Ray Fanara) The HOF operates outside of the BOD’s duties. The HOF Coordinator, identifies nominees and gathers nominations from the MFCA membership. They review applications and submit the finalists for a vote. They order awards and supply files and photos to the website coordinator for the HOF section of the website
Marketing Coordinator: (Don Lang) This coordinator is in charge of any aspect having to do with the marketing of the MFCA or the hobby in general. They will work with TV or radio contacts, prepare and oversee the production of all printed materials and will prepare a plan to best market the MFCA. They will work especially close with the Website Coordinator to ensure that the website coincides with the marketing plan, look and feel and will have a final review of the Tweak magazine before print. They will be in charge of ordering all marketing materials, including brochures, signage, stickers, card or other marketing materials.
Membership Coordinator: (Steve Martin) This job requires a daily check of the Google Docs signup form for new signups and cross check with our email to see if they followed through and paid. Makes announcements and sends reminders out to all members needing to renew during the March 30 and Sept 30 renewal periods. Tracks the renewals and updates the excel file accordingly.
MFCAL Coordinator: (Ken Allen) This job requires a daily check of the Google Docs Game Entry form followed by a manual update of the Google Docs Points form. This job also requires, at a minimum, monthly or bi-weekly updates on the forum as to what is taking place in the MFCAL and it will be up to the MFCAL Coordinator to promote this league (as well as the rest as the BOD) and encourage people to play their games. The MFCAL Coordinator must have a full knowledge and understanding of the rules and the point system. On July 1st, it will be up the MFCAL Coordinator to add the final tally with quality win points and on July 4th post results and notify the winner.
Treasurer: (Mike Guttmann) Tracks and oversees the banking and checking account and provides reports when requested. Files the annual 501c7 report.
The Tweak Magazine Staff: (Editor-Al Dunham, Assistant Editor-David Roller)Creates and publishes the Tweak magazine.
Website Coordinator: (Lynn Schmidt) Works with all other coordinators to assure that all info on the website is up to date and current. Seeks out new technologies to enhance the user’s experience. Organizes information and oversees every aspect of the forum and website. The Website Coordinator will add volunteer staff as necessary or when requested to complete the requirements of the job.
