Some guys cut them back in the day.check Fred Bilitnekof of the raiders.even today,when some of the guys hem them up they may lose a stripe or two.Just my theory--STT

That might be a good theory.I can't say if you're
right or wrong either,BUT it seems to me the NFL
had/has a fairly strict dress/uniform code that they
adhear too "religiously". That was the Pete Rozell
era and he was by the book.You have a good theory
though.They probably did cut the sleeves and just
happened to get away with it.Maybe it was an old
AFL thing.......back then,so Rozell let it slide.I don't
have a clue.....No biggie.Like I said,I was going off on
a tagent.I go there every now and then.....LOL
