DFW EFL Weekley Raider Press Conference
Hello to the EFL community and to our fellow Coaches in Texas and around the nation. The following are some key questions posed to RD "The Don" at the DFW EFL, Raider weekley press conference
Media: Coach RD, Your first game is now behind you, it was victory on the part of the Raiders, would you like to comment on that game, a game you won 34-17? RD: Well, we went into the game as an underdog, anywhere from 3-7 points, we had a great week of preperation, we were very focused, and everyone executed the game plan, anytime we rush for over 200 yards, and pass for 150, and hold the opposition to 2 first downs, I'm going to be pleased. Media: Coach, your next opponent is Legendary Coach Don Hudson and his Boston team, you are once again an underdog, anywhere from 18 to 30 points. Are you aware of what the country is saying about your upcoming game this weekend. RD: Well I'm aware of it now that you have told me. I'm not concerned about what folks are saying or writing around the country, the game must be played between the lines. Coach Hudson is a very experienced and excellent head coach winning 50 of his last 53 games, but as I stated in earlier interviews, I will play anyone anywhere anytime, we are not scared of Boston. Media: So Coach RD are you saying that Oakland is going to win against Boston. RD: No, that is not what I'm saying, I'd be foolish to come out and make a statement like that, we are a heavy underdog, and I love and relish that role, but please bear in mind strange things happen on Sundays at times, and if we get a break here and there anything could happen. I have time for 1 more question. Reg Rutledge : Coach, word from the Hudson camp is that Coach Hudson wants this to be a statement game, as you are aware he's been away from the league for a year, and he wants this to be a huge statement game. Do you have any comments about this. RD: Well it's quite interesting that he wants to make a huge statement against the Raiders, I've only got 7 games experience in MF and the DFW EFL. We have a career record of 3-4, but I guess if a statement has to be made we won't find out exactly what type of statement will be made till the final seconds tick off the clock. If any coaches have any questions post them here and I'll be glad to answer them. RD: Thank you all very much and we'll get together again next Tuesday at the next Oakland press conference Think like a Champion and you'll Become a Champion
