Default Offensive Line Play (different Scenerios)

COACHES,

Different leagues do different things. How detailed is your line play during the coarse of a game. In the dfw your able to angle your line to set up a play. This makes it much easier to run sweeps and design various plays. Other leagues wont allow you to do that which limits some things you can do.

1) does anybody design their off line to open a specific hole for the running back to go through and is it successfull ?

2) do you run power sweeps that actually work ?

3) Is their cross blocking in electric football ?

4) important!!! What are some successfull pass blocking schemes in electric football ?
5) do you run a 2 tight end set ?

6) how are yiour bases on your lineman in the trenches ?

7) This is the kicker, IS IT POSSIBLE TO CREATE A MOVING POCKET IN ELECTRIC FOOTBALL ?

Lets hear the answers from the greats and greats and greats alike.

IM ASKING THESE QUESTIONS BECAUSE I WONDER HOW SERIOUS COACHES ARE ABOUT THEIR OFFENSIVE LINES !!!!!!!!!1

Default Offensive Line Play

Coach,

The success of my teams begin with line play. You are right about the DFW. You do have the option to angle linemen to set up your blocking schemes. This is one of those areas I speak with a lot of the guys who use Footballfigures.com linemen about all the time.

I had an opportunity to play a coach that use another type of figure. He used the angled linemen technique. For his athletes, doing this type of blocking scheme, all but gave me a distinct advantage against his athletes. With his linemen arm pointed ahead, there was no range for his players to be effective against 3 pt. stance linemen.

One of my outstanding coaches, Barry Stephenson and I played a game last week. Of course, many people gave him pointers on how to stop what I do. I even gave him pointers. But if you have ran a system for many years, stopping the system is not as easy as you may think it is.

The thing about the O-Line performance is the chemistry between players. The great thing about the players is they are created to work hand-in-hand. Their pass blocking range is much greater than other manufacturer's players. This will allow for a more versatile line.

In my schemes, my regular line runs line play with wide line splits (a base length apart). For most people, this would be arsenic. For my team, it is welcomed. There are so many schemes we run with this type of blocking scheme.

You go through 7 different holes. You can roll the line right. You can roll the line left. You can pull guards or tackles as I have done on numerous ocassions in the past. The best thing about what my O-Line does is it disguises where the hole is or who's ready to run.

Coaches here say I have a "finesse" offense because they players are exploiting your strength by way of zone blocking. I do not concur. When Marion Barber and Julius Jones are averaging 10 plus yards per rush (in a league where a tackle constitutes a hit anywhere), to me that is sheer power.
The O-Line definitely are getting hats on the D-Line to open those holes.

Right now, Barry Stephenson asked me to write up how I run my system. Things such as what players to use, bases to use, and a scaled-down version of my playbook is what he wants. Because Barry is a good friend and I know once he begins to understand it, he will offer a cerebral challenge. And for me, that's what I want.

Answers to your questions from my schemes:

1) does anybody design their off line to open a specific hole for the running back to go through and is it successful ?

Yes, which we run from the West Coast Offense. Very effected. Other coaches have tried to copy it but none have mastered it because of the complexities. Even Michael Robertson will not regularly run this system

2) do you run power sweeps that actually work ?
Definitely works. I've ran power sweeps in this system many times. I can pull guards to get to the point of attack and let the Tackle and Center cross block. It's one of the most effective running plays wide that I have.

3) Is their cross blocking in electric football ?
All the time. When you get to Texas, I will show you first hand.

4) important!!! What are some successful pass blocking schemes in electric football ? Andre, having had the chance to play against steroids gave me the chance to develop other schemes which makes strength null and void. You will see when you come to Texas, just remember to ask me to show you.

5) do you run a 2 tight end set ? Sometimes on running downs or if an OLB causes a threat. It's rare, unless I want to give the other team a certain look. Often times, I will have my lateral TE in who looks like he will stay in to block but has been lateraled upfield to catch a pass in open space.

6) how are yiour bases on your lineman in the trenches ?
My bases look as if they are going straight ahead but they may be moving laterally, going forward, going backawards, or creating a pocket.

7) This is the kicker, IS IT POSSIBLE TO CREATE A MOVING POCKET IN ELECTRIC FOOTBALL ? Yes, ABSOLUTLEY!

Again, this is my experience

Default "O" Linemen

With out the "O" Linemen your not going to go any were fast. This is the foundation of all your offensive plays.

1) YES: With out tipping off the other coach the linmen are set up strait, the are 1 yard off of the ball as they should be in real football. After the snap of the ball free linmen can now be angled to double team a player, or pull to get out infront of the runner, or roll the pocket .

2) YES

3) YES, but it depends on the defensive formation and remember, the other guy is not just going to let you set your blocks, this is move and counter move helmet to helmet.

4) If it's it real football then you can run it with pin point accuracy.

5) YES

6) Bases are either slow and strong, fast but weak, or balanced. Depends on the coach.

7) YES, but not without stoppages. You see there must be stages in the fuction of the game play in order to perform these plays.
Example: 1 Snap of the ball: angle you linemen to pull, trap, double team, you are also targeting the defender you want to block.
2 -3 React and adjust as the play unfolds in front of you.
