Electric Football is Dead!!!!
What?
Can you prove that Electric football is alive and well? I keep hearing the same old ideas being reinvented and chewed up and spit back out. What's new? Who's got the juice? What's cooking in the kitchen!Show me what you got! |

Never
This hobby isn't going anywhere, but up. It's here to stay as long as I have something to do with it. I don't know that you are aware, but I am in the process of doing another production on YouTube. I am using pictures from coaches around the hobby to be displayed in this piece of work. Would you be interested in sending some of your pictures so that I can add them in to this production. My email address is rmaurrobe@aol.com.

I think when Electric football was at it's biggest ,as in making money was in the 70's . However most of the people that played it then were kids . And we played it as a kids game should be played . We had flexible rules for specific rules , such as Walter Payton was NEVER tackled on the first hit. We even threw a wadded up piece of paper when we passed , there was no weight limit and so on.
I think Electric Football might not sell as many new boards and teams now as they did back in the 70's , but I think the passion and dedication of todays players far outweigh that of the players in the 70's . Just look at all the Noreasters in our league driving 3 hours each way to play a game , we even have a guy from Kentucky that drives up every week to play ! As much as I enjoyed electric Football as a kid and we had 20 local kids in our league , I enjoy it even more now. The friendships and family atmosphere that we have in our league now is irreplacible. I thought I would never say this , but I do not get upset when I loose now . I look at it as I got beat by a better Coach. I have heard this before and agree, I liken todays electric football to chess with highly detailed plastic football players instead of chess pieces . On a side note , I want to personally thank Al Gore for inventing the internet because without it , I would have thought I was the only person that still played electric football. Is there anyone else?
What,
Nobody else has anything to say? Speak up and be heard! What's the point? You can meet like minded souls at work, at church or in da club. it's always the same people traveling to tournaments. The same people giving advice. Sure there have been some new innovations, but where's the beef? Tron has entered his fortress of solitude and has found no reason to walk amonst you ever again! I will comtemplate this under the tree of Woe! |
