Default Detail work.

When your painting and you are starting to detail you figures, what brush/tool do you use? When you paint a stripe or a number, what brush/tool do you use?
I am asking this because, I have tried using tooth picks, and my smallest brush and usually neither work unless I get lucky and the line comes out like I wanted it to.

Default Smallest Brush...

I have is a red sable 5/0...that's approximately 1/16 of an inch thick.

The key is to get the paint to the right amount and consistency, so that you can have it flow the way you want it. And then knowing when to get more paint on the brush...or of the paint is starting to dry on the brush...cleaning it off and getting a fresh start.

Sometimes before I do detail work on a figure, I will practice on one of the figs I use for testing...or on a piece of paper or plastic...it helps to see how the paint is working for me...
