Miggle Convention Announcement-Important!

READY FOR FOOTBALL??? READY TO COMMIT???

This year has been most difficult and negotiating with the hotel for our convention has been no different. It must be a sign of the times…they are requesting that we guarantee “room nights” and we simply cannot do that. The purpose of this email is to take a “serious” survey.

Many of you have called us for details on our convention which would normally appear in our newsletter, Plugged IN! Because the newsletter costs us many many thousands of dollars to do, we will not be doing a mailing this fall, but rather emailing all details for the Miggle convention. We have had to cut expenses in every way possible and we’re still here!

This will be our 15th Anniversary (Jan. 23-25, 2009) and we are planning a fun event with terrific give away prizes this year that will benefit you and we have two BIG “surprise” gifts; one for our “Champion” and one for everyone to be given at the close of the convention.

Here’s how you can help us--we need to know how many of you plan to attend Miggle’s convention, for how many nights and if you would be willing to pay by credit card now and allow it to be a non-cancelable charge? EFL room rates are $94.00 single/double, $104.00 triple (3 people) and $114.00 Quad (4 people). Of Course, we are back at the Embassy Suites (all two room suites newly renovated) in Deerfield, IL and includes full made to order breakfast each day, 2 hours of free cocktails each night, swimming pool and exercise room.

Just so you know, we need this survey completed in 5 days to get the great EFL Rates as there is another group waiting to reserve our weekend and occupy the Ballroom if we can’t reserve enough room nights. I second that. In fact, it would be great to see some sort of collaboration between the two.

Focus on getting your rooms committments. I committed to 1 room with 4 individuals. The MFCA is discussing some form of working together and will release info on that soon. The rooms are the important thing because if the hotel cannot be secured then the convention is in serious trouble.

Just got word. The Miggle Skills Competition will be held in conjunction with the Great Lakes Regional Skills Competition at the Miggle Convention. Miggle Skills rules will be revised but very similar to the MFCA Skills rules. Details will follow once the hotel has been secured by Miggle.

I am very intrigued to come to chi- town for the very first time.

At the lodge i go to once a year for my horse racing events which takes place in august. The hotel/inn ask's all of us to pay for a non refundable one night stay the december before (which is coming up) This is there way of securing rooms. People feel i paid for something and are committed to gokng so they don't lose there deposit. This is actually a good idea. So, i think the best option is have everyone secure there room right now via credit card but DON'T charge the card right now. there are some who simply can't pay right this very second. BUT, HAVE THEM CALL THE HOTEL AND BOOK THERE ROOM. IF THEY CANCEL FOR ANY REASON THEY WILL BE CHARGED FOR ONE NIGHT !

This way at least the hotel is getting one night of pay guaranteed and this relieves the stress of coaches who really wan't to go but may not have the money until after christmas . coaches get money for gifts at christmas and maybre extra money from there jobs. THIS WORKS GREAT WHEN THE HOTEL AND THE VISITING PARTY KNOW THIS UPFRONT. THIS IS A CUSHION FOR BOTH . (HOTEL GUARENTEED AT LEAST ONE NIGHT AND VISITOR HAS TIME TO PAY)

i called the hotel to book my reservation at the rates that were quoted in the memo and they said that they did not have a set of blocked off rooms for the miggle convention and that the rates that were quoted in the memo were not the fees that they were charging.am i doing something wrong!!! let me know.i want to book my rooms.

What if a list of coaches did pay for the entire weekend up front. will they be willing to let those coaches buy miggle items at a ridiculous sale rate early sat morn. for instance
