Default Please explain this TSO rule

Code:
7.1 Position of the Players at the Snap 7.1.1 The offensive team must have the following in their formation: (a) No more and no less than seven players on its line of scrimmage at the snap. (b) All players who are not on the line, other than the snap receiver under center, must be no farther than 5 yards from the line of scrimmage at the snap. (c) All guards, tackles and tight ends must be at least 1/2 yard behind the center. (d) Offensive linemen may be elbow to elbow for minimum distance.
This rule makes it appear that RBs have to basically be lined up or stacked right behind the OL. Is this true? Could you not run a spread formation with the RB(s) 10-15 yards behind the LOS?

Default Not true at all!

What this is speaking in terms of is the receivers who are flankers/slot guys. This is not the runningbacks who have up to 15 yards behind the LOS.

You definitely can run a spread in the Shootout system as that is the bread-and-butter of what I do. I am happy you caught that as the definition is not fully explained.
