Quick question
I will watch the video when i get home from work however, if someone can please tell this: When a QB is halted on the drop back bar, waiting to pass, and a defender runs past the bar (does not touch it) is that a sack?

I AM GOING TO TAKE A STAB AT THIS ONE - SO SOMEONE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG
The sticks are as long as they need to be to stop your qb. If you have a qb on a reliable base, the stick doesnt have to be that long cause you know he will hit it. if not, you need a little longer stick to stop him. but the longer the stick, the more oppurtunity for Demarcus Ware to increase his sack total, as there is more stick for him to touch. now here is a question i have that i should know- What happens if the QB passes the stick?

ANSWERS
Nothing, it's as if he didn't take a 5-step drop but an extra step or two. The stick is placed where YOU prefer to have your QB stop, but if he runs past it that's not a Penalty or anything, if that's what you were thinking.

However the QB has a limit in witch he can drop back in order to maintain realism. If Any part of the QB's base passes beyond 12 yards behind the line of scrimmage then he is sacked. The sack is awarded to the nearest defender

Now ........
Is the passing bar placed at 12 yds or is that the offenses choice?

Quote:
Should the QB be on the passing bar, and the defender pushes a offensive player back into the QB while he is on the passing bar/magnet so that the offensive players base/body is touching the QB's base/body as a result of the defenders ( Who also is touching the offensive players base/body ) " Holding on the offense " is the correct call.

5, 4, 7, or 12 it's all up to the coach But any part of the QB's base that goes beyond the 12 yard QB drop back limit shall be rules a sack.
