Onside kicks my way
This is my way of doing onside kicks; I'm still changing things a little but this is the basic concept:
Both teams line up in standard onside kick formations. A football is placed on the 30 yd line. The kicking team coach now flicks the ball as the kick. NFL onside kick rules apply. The ball may hit a player on the receiving team; it is still in play. Once the ball stops, it is switched for a pass placement ball. The board is turned on and the first team to touch it gains possesion.
I have found that this method forces the defence to make a decision: play close to the 40 and risk the kicker bouncing it off his (receiver's) players and back towards the kicker's, or play back and force the kicker to place the ball as close to the 40 as he can.
