New field cover
I just got back from a nice long trip to Chicago and I picked up my new field cover from Jimbo. I had an absolute blast with Jimbo and Michigan Joe. The field cover I designed with Jimbo is absolutely the way i wanted it and I changed a few things from my other filed cover. I loved my other cover, but this one is everything I forgot and more on the other one. I also changed the color of my board to make it feel more like an Houston Oilers color. I loved the wood before in a Oak wood stain, but I went with a pickel wood stain this time. Here are some before and after pictures of each. i just wanted to thank Jimbo and Joe a ton for the awesome time, and look forward to having you two in our Mid-Ohio league this year.
P.S. Tell your sweet wife and and little angel thanks soooo much. You are a lucky man. That explains that big smile no one can wipe off of your face. P.S.S Joe, i just wanted to thank you for the package. i got them in the mail today and I will let you know how they are when I get some rest buddy. Thanks again. |

Oh they will make weight
See, what i do is hollow them out from head to toe, and put them on a piece of paper, with the inside of the paper completely gone. They will be in there making weight though.

Here ya go
Geno, the field cover size is 48x24. When you buy a Jimbo field cover you just simply cut it down to the size you need. That allows you to make your field bigger or smaller if you want. We cut the outer edges about an inch on each side to fit.If those of you who are making a board, you don't have to be perfect on your lenth and width. You just cut it down to the size you need.
Hey coach K-Lo. I'll find out this week if i get the vacation time for canton. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. We just opened up a new place and we had a bunch of new people quit. Hopefully we will have this straightened out soon. I'll be there if i can. Last edited by Franny-j-boy : 07-15-2009 at 12:54 PM. |

Frank,
I had a great time hanging out with you guys. These kind of "get togethers" really energize me (as far as the hobby goes). That board looks perfect and runs perfect. I really enjoyed playing on that field a lot. Your Oilers franchise is absolutely incredible and the way you built your franchise from top to bottom (from accumulation of figures and bases, to boards and accessories) it is just awsome. I think there are about 350 people on this chat site who would love to have a special franchise like you have developed. Actually, that would be a great TWEAK article..."how I built my custom Oilers franchise" by Frank Jacobs...now I would buy that. Joe
